COCHIN – MUNNAR – THEKKADY – KUMARAKOM – KOVALAM – TRIVANDRUM

DAY 01 :  COCHIN ARRIVAL:

On arrival at Cochin Airport / Ernakulam railway station, you will pick up and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Cochin – visit Hill Palace Museum, Dutch Palace (Closed on every Fridays), Jewish Synagogue (closed on every Fridays and Saturdays), Jewish Street, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets. Overnight stay in Cochin.

DAY 02 :  COCHIN – MUNNAR ( 140 KMS – 04 Hours drive )

After breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Munnar. Munnar is a land of Misty Mountains and spectacular tea plantations. The best hill station of Kerala. Watch the spectacular beauty of Tea Gardens; enjoy the nature, where the cloud turns into mist, which may touch you with a romantic feeling. On the way visit Pine Apple Garden, Rubber Plantations, Spice Plantations, Valara Falls, Cheeyappara Falls. Check in at Hotel & overnight stay at Munnar.

DAY 03:  MUNNAR SIGHTSEEING:

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Munnar – visit Mattupetty Dam: There is 15 Minutes Boat Drive in this Dam & boating at own cost, coordinate with driver,  Kundale Lake, Echo Point ((The natural Echo phenomenon is always happening here), Shooting Point and Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National Park (will be closed on February and March in every year). Back to hotel & overnight stay in Munnar.

DAY 04 :  MUNNAR – THEKKADY ( 110 KMS – 03 Hours drive )

After early breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Thekkady (Periyar), on arrival check into Hotel. The very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. This plantation town is situated on the outskirts of the Periyar Sanctuary. The main attraction at Thekkady is Boating at Periyar Lake (at own cost). Other optional activities like: Spice Plantation visit, Bamboo Rafting, Elephant Ride, Kalari payattu (A traditional martial art), Kathakali Show (A traditional performance art), Ayurveda massages etc. can be organized with supplement charges basis. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

NOTE: Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary Boat Timings: 07:00; 09:30; 11:30; 14:00; 16:00; hrs. No advance ticket booking for boating at Thekkady; the guest should take tickets directly on arrival. Kindly cross check the boat timings once you reach; since only a few boats are available for cruise at Thekkady.

DAY 05:  THEKKADY – KUMARAKOM (ONE WAY APRX. 175 KMS – 4HRS)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom. Check in to the hotel. Afternoon proceeds for local sightseeing in and around Kumarakom – a tiny backwater hamlet perched on the western banks of the Vembanadu Lake. The stretch of backwater is spread over 900 sq. km. Choose a canoe, motor boat or a houseboat and devour the beauty of this backwater paradise at its best. Overnight stay is arranged in Kumarakom.

DAY 06 :    KUMARAKOM – KOVALAM ( 175 KMS – 04 Hours drive )

After breakfast check out from Houseboat (check out time 9.30 AM) and drive to Kovalam, on arrival check into Hotel. Kovalam is one of the prime beach destinations in India. Enjoy the evening watching a spectacular sunset or swimming at the picturesque Kovalam Beach. Overnight is to be spent at hotel.

DAY 07 : EXCURSION TO TRIVANDRUM

After breakfast set out on a touring voyage through Trivandrum – the capital of Kerala. Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram is an old city with a history going back as ahead of schedule as 1000 BC. Thiruvananthapuram, which means the city of the sacrosanct snake Anantha, turned into the capital of the past royal kingdom of Travancore in 1750 AD. Visit the Padmanabhaswami Temple, Napier Museum( Closed on Monday), Srichitra Art Gallery, and Zoo ( Closed on Monday). Back to hotel for overnight stay at Kovalam.

DAY 08 :  KOVALAM – TRIVANDRUM ( 15 KMS ) (DEPARTURE)

After breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Trivandrum Airport / Railway Station for onward journey.
