Day 1

Arrival in Indore – Ujjain

Distance: 55 km Travel Time: 1.5 hrs

You will be picked up from Indore airport or railway station and driven to Ujjain. Visit the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the most powerful Shiva shrines in India, famous for the unique Bhasma Aarti. The temple is believed to protect devotees from negative energies and grant divine blessings.

Temple Timings: 4:00 AM to 11:00 PM

Day 2

Ujjain Sightseeing

Explore the major spiritual and historical sites of Ujjain, one of the holiest cities in India. Experience the peaceful atmosphere at the ghats and ancient ashrams.

Visit: Kal Bhairav Temple, Harsiddhi Temple (Shaktipeeth), Ram Ghat on the Kshipra River, and Sandipani Ashram.

Day 3

Ujjain to Omkareshwar

Distance: 140 km Travel Time: 3.5 hrs

After breakfast, drive to Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga. Situated on the sacred Mandhata Island, which is naturally shaped like the symbol "Om," this temple is surrounded by the serene waters of the River Narmada and offers a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

Day 4

Omkareshwar to Maheshwar

Distance: 65 km Travel Time: 1.5 hrs

Drive to Maheshwar, a beautiful spiritual town on the banks of River Narmada. Known for its historical importance during the reign of Queen Ahilyabai Holkar, the town features stunning stone architecture and peaceful river ghats.

Visit: Ahilya Fort, ancient riverside temples, and witness the traditional Maheshwari saree weaving.

Day 5

Maheshwar to Mandu

Distance: 40 km Travel Time: 1 hr

Proceed towards Mandu, the "City of Joy." Mandu is famous for its Afghan architecture, romantic legends of Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati, and grand palaces perched across the Vindhya hills.

Explore: Jahaz Mahal, Roopmati's Pavilion, and Hoshang Shah's Tomb.

Day 6

Mandu to Khajuraho

Distance: Approx. 600 km Travel Time: 10–11 hrs by road

After breakfast, drive to Khajuraho. This long journey takes you across the heart of India to the site of the magnificent Chandela-era temples. Khajuraho is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its intricate carvings and Nagara-style architecture.

Day 7

Khajuraho Sightseeing

Spend the day exploring the world-famous temple complexes of Khajuraho, divided into the Western, Eastern, and Southern groups. These temples are a celebration of human emotions, spirituality, and artistic excellence.

Visit: Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Lakshmana Temple, Vishwanath Temple, and Chitragupta Temple.

Day 8

Departure from Khajuraho / Indore

After breakfast, you will be dropped at Khajuraho airport or railway station for your onward journey, bringing your spiritual and heritage yatra to a close.
