West India Shaktipeeth Yatra (11N/12D)

A spiritually immersive pilgrimage through the sacred Shakti traditions of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, covering revered temples associated with the legend of Goddess Sati along with powerful Siddha Peeths and ancient Devi shrines of western India.

 

Day 1 — Arrival in Ahmedabad

You will be picked up from the airport/railway station and transferred to your hotel in Ahmedabad.

Depending on arrival time, explore Sabarmati riverfront and local Gujarati cuisine.

Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

 

Day 2 — Ahmedabad to Ambaji

Distance: Approx. 185 km

Travel Time: 4 hrs

Drive towards Ambaji Temple nestled in the Aravalli hills. It is believed that the heart of Goddess Sati fell here, making it one of the holiest Shaktipeeths of western India.

Opening Time: 7:00 AM

Closing Time: 9:00 PM

Attend the spiritually vibrant evening aarti.

Overnight stay in Ambaji.

 

Day 3 — Ambaji & Gabbar Hill Exploration

Distance: Approx. 10 km local sightseeing

Travel Time: 30 mins

Morning darshan at Ambaji Temple followed by a visit to Gabbar Hill, considered the original seat of the goddess and associated with the sacred Sri Yantra tradition.

Later return to Ahmedabad.

Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

 

Day 4 — Ahmedabad to Pavagadh

Distance: Approx. 150 km

Travel Time: 3 hrs

Proceed to Mahakali Temple situated atop Pavagadh Hill, a UNESCO heritage region. The shrine is traditionally believed to be associated with the right toe of Goddess Sati.

Closing Time: 7:00 PM

Ropeway facilities are available for easier access to the hilltop temple.

Overnight stay in Vadodara/Pavagadh.

 

Day 5 — Vadodara to Nashik

Distance: Approx. 420 km

Travel Time: 8–9 hrs

Travel towards Nashik in Maharashtra, one of India’s ancient pilgrimage cities situated along the Godavari River.

Overnight stay in Nashik.

 

Day 6 — Saptashrungi Temple Excursion

Distance: Approx. 80 km one way

Travel Time: 2.5 hrs

Visit Saptashrungi Temple dramatically located amidst seven mountain peaks. The shrine is revered as a powerful manifestation of Goddess Durga and is deeply associated with Devi worship traditions of the Sahyadris.

Closing Time: 8:30 PM

Return to Nashik after darshan.

Day 7 — Nashik to Tuljapur

Distance: Approx. 330 km

Travel Time: 7 hrs

Drive towards Tulja Bhavani Temple, one of Maharashtra’s most powerful Shakti shrines and the kuldevi of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The goddess is worshipped here in her fierce warrior form.

Day 8 — Tuljapur to Kolhapur

Distance: Approx. 290 km

Travel Time: 6 hrs

Proceed towards Kolhapur, an important center of Shakti worship and Maratha heritage.

Visit Mahalaxmi Temple, also known as Ambabai Temple. The temple is regarded as one of the most spiritually significant Devi shrines in India and a major seat of divine feminine energy.

Explore Kolhapur’s traditional markets and heritage areas.

Overnight stay in Kolhapur.

 

Day 9 — Kolhapur to Mount Abu / Rajasthan

Long-distance travel day

Proceed towards Rajasthan through scenic western Indian landscapes.

Overnight stay in Mount Abu/Udaipur.

 

Day 10 — Nathdwara & Tripura Sundari Temple, Banswara

Distance: Approx. 280 km

Travel Time: 6–7 hrs

Visit Tripura Sundari Temple, an ancient Shakti shrine dedicated to Goddess Tripura Sundari, revered in tantric traditions and considered among the highly sacred Devi temples of western India.

Day 11 — Karni Mata Temple Excursion
